In 2018, Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources David Littleproud and Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Senator Richard Colbeck, jointly released the National Forest Industries Plan. The plan outlines the Australian Government’s strategy to underpin growth in the industry nationally.
The peak body Australian Forests Products Associated released a document outlining an industry pledge that with the right policy settings, we will provide a massive 18 megatonnes of greenhouse gas mitigation every year from 2030.
The Forest Management Plan is the key policy framework for managing State forest.
