In 2018, Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources David Littleproud and Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Senator Richard Colbeck, jointly released the National Forest Industries Plan. The plan outlines the Australian Government’s strategy to underpin growth in the industry nationally.
The peak body, Australian Forests Products Association released a document outlining an industry pledge that with the right policy settings, we will provide a massive 18 megatonnes of greenhouse gas mitigation every year from 2030.
The Forest Management Plan is the key policy framework for managing State forest.

We support and protect the industries that derive economic value and generate employment from WA’s native and plantation forest resources by providing strong advocacy on behalf of the industry, combined with timely and effective responses to critical incidents and events.
