Education

Forest Learning is a website that provides Australian Curriculum aligned teaching and learning resources at no cost.

The site is maintained by a network of forest educators and forestry communication specialists from organisations across Australia known as the Australian Forest Education Alliance.  The Australian Forest Education Alliance collaborated with the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority to ensure all of the resources are aligned with national curriculum. All of the resources have been designed for teachers and prepared by teachers. Over 60 lessons have been prepared, covering students from kindergarten to year 12. Lessons are available to download and a teacher pack with postcards, rulers, factbooks and FSC certified 3d paper trees can be sent to your school.

Our members are keen to promote industry and many participate in incursions and excursions for their local schools. Our members also facilitate Professional Learning Workshops for teachers and staff. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about how to arrange a Forest Learning event for your school.
