In 2018, Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources David Littleproud and Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Senator Richard Colbeck, jointly released the National Forest Industries Plan.

The peak body, Australian Forests Products Association released a document outlining an industry pledge that with the right policy settings, we will provide a massive 18 megatonnes of greenhouse gas mitigation every year from 2030.
